Around the League - 11/20/2018

Hi and welcome to Ben's NBA Quarterly Digest Post! This is a blog where I discuss the NBA. You may be familiar with my other blog, Another Blog Celebrating the Process. I stopped updating it since the process is doing fine. Plus I'd rather expand my scope beyond the Sixers. Even though they are my favorite team, there's alot more to the league that's on my mind I find worth discussing. Without further ado, here's the starting lineup:

- Caris Lavert will be O.K.

- A.I. got nothing but love for Jimmy Bucket, Mark Fultz

- Bullets just can't get it together

- Melo's time is up

- Coach Brown keeps coaching in Italy

Caris Lavert will be O.K.
This is such good news. After a gruesome looking injury, turns out that there was no break, and Lavert, Brooklyn's leading scorer and most promising player, will likely return to action later in the season.

A.I. got nothing but love for Jimmy Bucket, Mark Fultz
Following the Sixer's home win over the young Suns of Phoenix, the Answer himself greets prominent Sixers through deep, meaningful hugs and encouraging words of wisdom. Notably, he gave the newest Sixer Jimmy Bucket a long, deep, meaningful hug, then went on to hug Mark Fultz, the struggling young guard still trying to find his way. Perhaps Allen sees a little bit of himself in Mark, and hopefully his words resonate. Seems like they already have, as Fultz just today announced he will take some time away from the court to work on his shoulder.

Bullets just can't get it together
Not a day goes by I don't read another article about how the Bullets are done for the season. They can't get it together, despite having stars like Brad Beale and John Wall. The good news is that these players are on the trading block for teams looking to take things to the next level. Hopefully they'll have a chance to shine elsewhere.

- Melo's time is up
After a 10-day experiment in Houston, they decided to let him go and he is without a team. His game just doesn't jibe in the league anymore. With the emphasis on quick ball movement and heightened team effort over old-school isolations, Melo would be better off moving to China.
